However, we don't like to dwell on nuisance information that nobody wants to listen to anyway.
Our philosophy is that political campaigning should be personally sustainable and fun for the masses.
Here we go!
Numbers have been in steady decline for over a decade to the point where now, it's almost a museum piece. It's time for action, not just wishful thinking and lip-service.
We need a concerted effort. Everyone can play a part to ensure that future generations can also enjoy the mullet. Sure, there are conflicts between modern day life and the mullet. But in the end, everyone will benefit if we see the numbers of mullets return to former levels.
I joined the pedal for the planet tour back in August. Passed a lovely month in the nation's capital. Now I'm on my way to Woodstock New Brunswick for a job interview at the fallsbrook center. The Nowak sisters from the BC team were blogging the trip at rideforourbrightfuture.blogsport.com . I outsourced my blogging to them. You can read all about crossing the praires and what easterners like to call Northern Ontario - Thunder Bay to Sault Ste Marie along the shores of the great lakes - so it's really western ontario.
Last night (april 27th) was the all candidates forum held in Clearwater. This space is for clearwater and area residents to place their comments or questions. At the moment, we don't have open posting, but send your email to kesten@worklessparty.org and we will put forward your thoughts.
Run of the River Hydro was a hot topic with a member in the audience in the process of trying to establish a project in the area. Please check back soon for postings on this topic.
First of all, a welcome to all our seniors and shut-ins. If you care to hear a brief song to put you in the mood, try going to www.youtube.com and typing in "Never go to work". This song's for you!
Now for a major Kamloops Workless Party announcement:
Sunday April 26th, 2009 - Heffley Creek
The Kamloops Work Less Party has decided to throw it's support behind a weekly day of rest.
Kamloops began the 2009 election trail running in both the Kamloops North and Kamloops South Thompson ridings with two candidates in each riding to job-share the position of MLA. One morning while we were lounging in our hammocks waiting for a pancake breakfast to come our way, we decided to get out the calculators to see just how much work would be involved in job-sharing the MLA position. Carly crunched the numbers with her hand-held supercomputer and informed us that if you divide 80 hours per week by 2, that's still 40 hours per week.
Collecting a hundred signatures from people in the riding to consent to our nomination for the WorkLess Party turned out to be my favourite part of the campaign so far. I finally had a reason to meet most of the neighbours on our block. My second night out, I started with the neighbours across the street. It turned out they were having friends over for a chili dinner and invited me in. It was a lovely evening. Once again, the sun was down by the time i'd finished with my first house, so i called it a night.

Today, the North Shore candidates hit the campaign trail in full stride going door to door to find out what our party platform should be from you, our constituents. Running mates Carly Woolner and Kesten Broughton began canvasing with the goal of meeting all the neighbours on our respective blocks. Kesten set out at roughly six pm and approached a neighbour who was spreading gravel in her driveway.

"Not even a day into the 2009 provincial election and the political "dirty tricks" have begun." claims Jasmin Wright, WLP candidate in waiting for the Kamloops South riding. According to Wright, she had just washed a green dish towel and brought it up to the kitchen and in less than an hour, it was gone. What kind of person takes another person's dish towel?
James Burton pointed out, "We have a lot of NDP friends."
It looks like the Kamloops Work Less Party will be hosting its first fun-raiser for the may elections this thursday from 11 am - 2 pm on the grassy noles outside of the CAC building on the TRU campus. We'll bring the beds and pillows. You bring your jammies or whatever you need to feel comfortable to sleep.
This is campaigning for a cause. We need to raise awareness about the lack of napping spaces on the TRU campus. If you don't think you'll be able to sleep in this setting, we encourage you to bring a textbook. That usually does the trick, doesn't it?
